We’ve been having a bit of a mixed weather here in London. We got a couple of spring Sundays, but then it goes back to winter on weekdays… The perfect conditions to catch a cold, which I haven’t! (yet) I wore a bit of a mixture above, colours, patterns and textures, but I think it worked alright overall. Not that I took off my coat that day anyways, it was freezing! Although the coat is 60s, I like to wear it with the cloche to give it a hint of 20’s look, which probably only works because of the bob haircut.

Blues Dance

Yesterday we’ve been to Liam’s night in Bethnal Green. We go there quite often, but last night was special for me because Alan was DJing. I enjoy his music so much, I could have danced all night. I try to see him play as often as possible. I would recommend Liam’s night to anyone who enjoys good 50’s and early 60’s music, since he is one of the best collectors around nowadays. I will not put labels on the genres played, because they play so many different things, however I will say that everything played are original vinyl from the era and these guys spend little fortunes to be get their hands on obscure tunes that you never even heard off!

And that’s what I wore! Nothing special, simple and easy with a 60’s touch. I wanted to make my hair bigger at the back, but my bf does not like that, so I went for a very subtle bouffant.

This part ends my staying in Tokyo, the following parts will be from Osaka and Kobe. I forgot to mention in the last post what film I’ve used for these. Fuji Color is generally my favourite choice, I like the soft colours and light it produces. In the previous part, I used an expired Fuji Color 100. However, in this part I’ve used an expired Solaris Ferrania, and you can see how the colours pop out, it’s much more vibrant than the Fuji Color. The last two shots were taken from the Park Hyatt Hotel, the same one where they filmed the Lost in Translation bar scene. Pardon my scanner, I know it is rubbish but I really don't need a new one just to scan photos...
