Victoria's Secret shimmer mist

The lovely Jenny (from sushi-cat) sent me this VS body shimmer mist, Pure Seduction, as a thank you for the blushes I sent her a while back. She's the nicest person, and gorgeous in every aspect, seriously when I grow up I want to be like her!! haha

I have a couple body mists from Body Shop, but this is actually my very first Victoria's Secret item :O! First thing to mention, my bf loves it! I've used it a couple times already and each time he keeps telling me how much he likes it, lol. It has a very pleasant summer-ish scent, something like fruits. The main notes are melon, plum and freesia. It's very fresh and sweet, but not too sweet! just the right amount. I'm really loving it and I think I will use it all summer long. Plus, like the name says, it has a cute shimmer, nothing too show off, very subtle but still noticeable. I'm sooooo happy with this body mist!!

I can totally understand why Jenny is so addicted to these and collects so many :3 Now she left me with too much curiosity to try more! haha

Today I was unexpectably off, Peter asked to change shifts. In the morning I was searching new hairstyles, although I already knew I wanted to go for the haircut I had back in January. And then suddenly I just grabbed a pair of scissors, stood up in front of the mirror and bang! Goodbye long fringe, hello short bangs! haha

I have been saying I'm planning to cut my hair for maybe 2 months already, but there's always something in the way and still my hair keeps growing. This morning I felt like I shouldn't wait anylonger and I did it myself, lol. In the worse case, all I had to do is use a hairclip until I go to the hairdresser to fix it. But it didn't turn out too bad. Of course not like the fringe I had 7 months ago, but close enough. This will do until I finally get around to the hairdresser, haha.
Also my hair color is dying pretty badly! Damn you, palty! Also my hair looks pretty damaged, to be honest. I need to get some Kerastase or something to recover. About the color, the only thing to do is dye it again. I wanted black, but its summer, so it might be too dark? I guess I will choose a brown shade, something chocolate-ish perhaps? but no palty anymore!

Tonight we went out to dinner to what became our "usual" place recently, the pizza place around the corner, haha. We were supposed to go watch Beginners, but our local cinema was sold out! ;_; I was soooo sad! I've been planning to go to the cinema tonight since last week (because we get 2 tickets for the price of 1). Oh well, instead, we came back home, ate ice cream and I am blogging now...

I've been wanting to shop so many things!! Just like a shopaholic *_* But today I controlled myself, I was a good girl and didn't get any of the things I wanted. I wonder how long I can hold myself?

Pretty photoshoot. Quite on the cutesy side, instead of the usual cool mode.
It's nice to see Ena in a more casual look wearing jeans. I think I haven't seen her in a non-high waist jeans for a loooong time now.
shoes + socks = love

I am loving the Urban Decay naked palette! <3 I think it's probably one of the best things I ever bought. Ever! haha

The rest is the makeup I use on a daily basis. I really like Benefit's products, they are so good. I use the Get Even powder foundation together with a BB cream. Underneath, I use boiing concealer on my dark circles and the lemon aid on my eyelids. For blush, I used the Lune D'or from Bourjouis. I used to love bourjouis, but lately not so much... Dolly wink mascara and eyeliner, canmake eyebrow mascara and my tiny eyebrow pencil that is almost gone (;_;)
I'm not wearing lipstick, I tend to forget about it on the days I'm working, and just wear a lip balm for a moist look.

And that's it! Just really really wanted to say how much I love the Naked palette and I think everyone should get one, haha

I want to live in a world like this.
Absolutely one of the cutest editorials I've seen. It's like Tim Walker gone cute and pink, haha.
I love her hair and make-up so much. Would I be crazy enough to attempt such hair cut? I don't think so...

Friday we did a bit of a celebration for my BD. We had margaritas in a Mexican restaurant on Bricklane. Korean food near Picadilly Circus. And then more cake and one more present! Another book by Chris Doyle! I was soooo happy again :D
Afterwards I was watching the book's film, "happy together", my bf joined me and we just fell asleep hugging each other. So sweet, hahaha XD

Birthday...

Yesterday it was my birthday. I feel much more mature since then, haha.
Last year I had a party where I Djed and had a great night! But generally, I hate celebrating my BD with a party. I only did it last year because it was together with 3 friends whose BD was also in July and they organized everything, so I was alright with it and just tagged along. That was my first party since my 12th anniversary or something. Usually I like very simple celebrations, maybe dinner out with the family and a homemade cake by my mother. Being separate from my family for 3 years now, I basically do the same thing with my bf, expect for the homemade cake, he doesn't bake.

Monday at midnight, I came out of the shower and when I got to the room my bf had prepared a nice surprise. Cake, card and 2 presents! A photography book by the person whom I most admire in this planet (Christopher Doyle) and a record of a song I love and have been dying to have (from Maria Anzai). Completed with a monkey postcard (i love monkeys, my fav animal ever)! I hadn't really asked him anything for my BD, but he got exactly the most perfect gifts!! I was so happy. I mean, I've been eyeing that book at amazon for more than a year now, but the price (£70) always made me give up. It is such a pride to own an actual Chris Doyle book! Seriously, I would have to make a whole new post to explain how much I love the man and how he had such a deep impact in my life. For now, let's just say that if it wasn't for Chris Doyle, I would never had come to the UK. Anzai Maria's record was bit less surprising, while still being surprising enough, and I wish I could DJ soon just to be able to play this song. Djing is so much fun and I haven't done it in a while now.

My parents sent me money instead of a BD present, which I guess it makes things easier for all of us, even though I insisted I didn't need a present. I bought 2 things with the money. Urban Decay's Naked Eye palette, haven't tried it yet, but I can't wait, had been reading so many good things about this. And Bvlgari's Petits et Mamans eau de toilette, which is a very nice and simple fragrance (supposed to be used between kids and moms) and smells just like baby! haha

Yesterday, the day of my actual birthday, I was working from 10am 'till midnight, so no time to celebrate, but one of the chefs was super sweet and made me a huge birthday cake! It was so nice :D I'm off on friday and already made plans for it! I want to have some pre-dinner cocktails (deciding between margarita's and matinis, though choice) and then off to my fav korean restaurant in Soho. I love korean food to death, I don't care if it doesn't sound posh or special, I just friggin' love it so much, I always feel soooooo happy after korean food, haha.

And that's it for now. I haven't got the time to blog much this week, one of my colleagues is on holiday, which means I have to work extra... But I will try to catch up with everyone's blogs.
